Field Hockey Downed in Home Opener

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier University field hockey team dropped their home opener to conference opponent Johnson and Wales this afternoon by a score of 3-0.

 THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/25/2021

- Score: JWU 3, Rivier 0

- Records: JWU (5-3, 2-1 GNAC), Rivier (0-4, 0-2 GNAC)

 HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Wildcats dominated in time of possession and activity within the ark. JWU secured 13 penalty corners that helped them get to the 3-0 score. Jillian Miele beat the Raider keeper twice in the first half, once in the first quarter and again in the second. Their final goal was scored by Allison Gencarelli in the third quarter.

-  The Raiders Keeper Katie Olsen (), although being tagged with the loss, saw 13 shots on net saving ten.
