HAMDEN, CT: The Rivier baseball team fell in bon-conference action against Albertus Magnus.  in both games 

THE BASICS:

- Date: 4/14/22

- Score: Albertus 16, Rivier 2. G2 Albertus 15, Rivier 6

- Records: Albertus (4-17, 4-6 GNAC), Rivier (1-22, 0-10 GNAC)

GAME ONE:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Shawn Smith topped the Falcons offense with four RBIs on two hits in three at bats. Matt Lewczyk and Bobby Arent both picked up three runs batted in, with Arent picking up three hits and Lewczyk picking up four.

- Ike Flannery picked up his second win on the mound for Albertus Magnus. He went all seven innings allowing just five hits and two earned with eight strikeouts.

- Timothy Scott (Lowell, MA) and Patrick Young (Billerica, MA) picked up the only RBIs in the game for the Riaders. Scott was a perfect 2-for-2 in the game, while Young was 1-for-2.

GAME TWO:

HOW IT HAPPENS:

- Ron Losacano recorded two hits for the Falcons along with five RBIs. He picked up three of the five on a three-run homerun.   

-  Sean Jefferson was a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Matt Warren and Jason Sullivan both had two runs batted in. Warren picked up three hits in four at bats, with Sullivan getting one hit in three at bats.

-  Scott continued to hit well in game two, picking up three hits with two runs batted in. Frank Gulezian (Derry, NH) racked up three hits with just one RBI.

- Rivier baseball will be back in action Saturday against Lasell University at 1 and 3:30 PM.
