Nashua, NH – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Teams are being announced and three Raiders have been honored by the GNAC in the early rounds of releases. Two women’s lacrosse players, Rebecca Wickens (Tyngsboro, MA) and Caitlin Gallagher (Billerica, MA) along with baseball’s Nathan Knoetig (Manchester, NH) were named to either the first or second team all-conference in their respective sports.

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University baseball team split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader on Monday at Garrity Field, capturing its first win of the season in the process. The Cadets (1-25, 1-12 GNAC) dropped a 6-2 decision in Game One before taking the nightcap, 4-3. Rivier (4-23, 3-11 GNAC) rode the arm and bat of Kevin Weaver to victory in the opener. The junior went all seven innings on the mound and supplied the decisive blow at the plate when he hit a first-inning grand slam over the left-field fence.

In game 1 the Rams used their bats to outslug the Raiders in a 12-7 victory, then relied on their pitching in game two to blank Rivier 9-0.

Nashua, NH - Albertus Magnus College Beat rivier College in game 1 of a GNAC double header today on the strong pitching of Brent Barth (Guilford, CT) who gave up 3 hits and no run to blank the Raiders 7-0. The Raiders bounced back in game two and sprayed 10 hits around to scrape out a 4-3 win in extra innings.

Nashua, NH – Daniel Webster College took both games of a home/away double header against cross town foe Rivier College today at historic Holman Stadium. The Eagles downed the Raiders 10-1 in the first game, then turned around and sent the Raiders packing with a 14-3 victory in the nightcap.

Nashua, NH – Fitchburg State University scored three runs in the seventh inning as the team sent all nine batters to the plate to put some breathing room between themselves and the Raiders from Rivier College. Fitchburg added two runs in the ninth to finish the win 8-2 and improve their record to 10-11 while the Raiders fall to 2-15 on the season.

Nashua, NH – Alex Chetelat (Farmington, CT) hit a towering grand slam to deep center field in the top of the 7th inning to boost the Newbury College Nighthawks to a 16-5 win in a non-conference baseball matchup tonight in Nashua, NH. The 9 inning game was shortened due to darkness, but the Nighthawks had things well in hand after a 6 run seventh inning, capped off by the homerun, pushed the lead to 11 runs.

BELLEROSE, NY – Freshman Joseph Mendez (Staten Island, NY/Monsignor Farrell) hit a walk-off three-run homer giving the St. Joseph's College baseball team a 5-3 victory over Rivier in their home opener at Padavan-Preller Field. The Bears followed it up with a 15 hit barrage in the nightcap to sweep the Raiders, 12-6. St. Joseph's improves to 3-9 on the season and Rivier remains winless at 0-6.
