Women's Volleyball: Dunster named GNAC Player of the Week!

(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced earlier this afternoon that Rivier University junior Taylor Dunster (Sutton, Mass.) has been selected as the conference's Women's Volleyball Player of the Week!

The veteran outside hitter double-doubled in all three games she played in as the Raiders went 4-0 last week. She averaged 3.50 kills, 2.91 digs, 0.64 aces and 0.45 blocks per set while hitting .240. Dunster started her week with 14 kills, 12 digs and three blocks in a four set GNAC win over Suffolk. She then had 10 kills and 10 digs in a sweep over the University of New England before registering 14 kills and 10 scoops in a 3-1 win at Gordon College.

This is the first time in her career that Dunster has been awarded a GNAC Weekly Honor. She joins both senior Hayley Macken (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and freshman Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, Conn.), who received Player and Rookie of the Week back on September 10th, as the only members of the Raiders to be selected as GNAC Players of the Week.

Dunster and the rest of the 13-5 Women's Volleyball team will return to action on Wednesday night as they host Anna Maria College in a 7pm GNAC contest at the Muldoon Gymnasium.
