Women's Basketball: Kacavas drops 30 points in season finale victory at Norwich

(Northfield, Vt.) In her final game, senior Kaylee Kacavas (Dracut, Mass.) shoots for a game-high 30 points as the Rivier University Women's Basketball team takes down Norwich University, 64-53 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action this afternoon.

Kacavas finished her career shooting 7-for-16 from the floor and a nearly perfect 14-for-15 from the free throw line. Fellow senior Megan Hamel (Colebrook, N.H.) closed out her career in Raider Blue with a 20-rebound performance, her second 20 rebound night of the season and third of her career. Senior Elizabeth Meehan (Nashua, N.H.) capped off her season with 10 points and freshman Cydney Lessard (Auburn, N.H.) finished with 14 in the win.

Norwich was paced by the double-double effort from Kailynne Frederick, who led the team with 13 points and 10 rebounds in a reserve effort. Vanessa Fleury and Emily Oliver also reached double figures as they collected 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Rivier closes out the 2018-2019 season with a 4-19 overall record and a 2-10 mark against conference competition. Norwich wraps up with an 8-16 overall record and 3-9 GNAC record.
