Bio

Sarah Brisk begins her first season as pitching coach with the Rivier University softball program in 2023.  

A four-year starter at UMass Lowell, Brisk earned NECC All-Conference and All-American honors in 1999, along with NECC All-Conference, NECC Tournament MVP, and NFCA All-Region Team selections in 2000. 

Before Brisk was a River Hawk, she attended Alvirne High School where she was a four-year starter and four-year All-State honoree with the Broncos’ softball program. 

Brisk was introduced to coaching in 1998 where she was a pitching coach for various travel softball teams through the 2009 season. She then had the opportunity to coach at UMass Lowell in 2001. From 2012 to 2018, and 2020, Brisk went back to her alma mater to serve as the Alvirne High School varsity head coach, leading her team to clinch the State Championship in 2012. 

Brisk was then the head coach of the Huskies travel softball program in 2022 and later held the role of the Fairgrounds Middle School head coach in 2022. Brisk holds the postion as head coach with the NH Prospects throughout the summer before taking a spot on Noelle Sass’ bench for fall ball in September 2023. 

Brisk received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a sociology minor from UMass Lowell in 2001.
