Softball: Raiders fall short against the Colonels, 8-0.

(Myrtle Beach, S.C.) The Raider offense couldn't keep pace with their Monday output as they were shutout by Wilkes University 8-0

Sophomore Sydney Greeno (Shirley, Mass) fell to 0-2 on the year as she was saddled with the loss after allowing seven runs (four earned) on five hits and walking six while striking out one in her 4.1 innings of work.

Rivier managed to get two hits off Wilkes starter Gracen Staunton, who spun the complete game shutout striking out four in six innings of work. Sophomore Emma Rousseau (Litchfield, N.H.) went 1-for-3.

The Colonels offense was paced by Staunton who went 3-4 and earned a run and two RBI's.   Sarah Gibson went 1-2, scored three runs and was walked twice.

The final score ended 8-0 in favor of the Wilkes University Colonels.  The loss drops the Raiders to a 1-4 on the season and the Colonels jump to 5-2.  Next up for the Raiders will be Pfeiffer University (Misenheimer, N.C.)
