Softball: Raiders topped by Wolverines, 6-1.

THE BASICS (Game 5)

WHAT HAPPENED 

The first run was scored by the Wolverines in the bottom of the 1st inning by ways of an RBI single, earned by junior Karina Cardona (Cooper City, Fla.).  It was Megan DiRubbio (Smyrna, Del.) who crossed the plate after being walked by and advancing to second and third on two wild pitches.  

The second inning was scoreless. The third inning started with Sophomore Amanda Curry (Williamsport, Md.) singling to left and sophomore Alexis Howerin (Dover, Del.) pinch ran in her place. Senior Ashley Royer doubled to right center and Howerin advanced to third. Junior Brandi Dallous (Harrington, Del.) walked and Howerin took home on a wild pitch.

The Wolverines earned 2 more runs off 3 hits in the sixth inning.  

The game ended at the top of the 7th.  Before its closure freshman Micayla Bourski (Pawtucket, R.I.) pinch ran for freshman Katerina St. Angelo (Johnston, R.I.) after a single to right center. Then Taylor Rowsell reached on a fielder's choice to shortstop and Micayla out at second for a quick two outs. Morgan Pratt singled down the left field line, Taylor Rowsell anvanced to second.  Sarah CcClusckey pinch ran for Taylor Rowsell.  The final at bat was Tayla Legrand singled to left field and advanced to second on the throw. McCluskey scored the final run. 

KEY STATS (Game 3)

• Greeno and Kellie Kennedy (Hudson, N.H.) both shared the mound.  Greeno earned 4 strikeouts and Kennedy earned 2.
• Legrand earned an RBI.
