Men's Volleyball: Rivier sweeps match from Regis, 3-0.

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Raiders return to Nashua two wins richer after a doubleheader against the Pride of Regis College and the Lasers of Lasell University in Newton, Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon.

The first challenge for the Raiders this afternoon was against the Pride.  All three sets ended 25-19, resulting in a quick sweep for the Raiders. 

Senior Francis Kokoros (Braintree, Mass) led the Raiders attack hammering-down 8 kills on 13 attempts hitting a commendable .615.  Junior Erick Roderick (Salem, N.H.) earned a team high 17 assists collected six kills, Junior Matt Hagan (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) also tallied 6 kills from the middle, while freshman libero Thomas Miller (Clifton, N.Y.) notched four kills, two assists and two aces. 

Junior setter Andrew Panameno (Los Angeles, Cali) also had a commendable performance lending out 11 assists and firing in two aces. 

The Raiders defense was led by Miller as he scooped up 8 digs and sophomore hitter Kristjan Cortez (Fremont, Cali) collected five digs and two blocks.  The Raiders out-blocked the Pride 14-5 in this Great Northeast Athletic Conference showdown.
