Men's Volleyball: Raiders earn second sweep of the weekend over the Bloodhounds.

(Nashua, N.H.) The Raiders swept the Bloodhounds of John Jay College in the second contest of their season, 3-0. The scores read 25-11, 25-10 and 25-20.

The first frame was fairly close as the two teams battled and kept the score line within two points until senior Pedro Campos (Downey, Cali.) set up sophomore Sokunbuth Ly (Lowell, Ma.) for his third kill of the frame, bringing the score to 10-7.  Thereafter the Raiders built up enough momentum to charge through the rest of the set only conceding four more points.  Ly finished the set with a four kills.

The second frame was similar to the first as the Raiders kept a comfortable lead throughout.  Raider's vet Francis Kokoros (Braintree, Ma.) came and went in the first and second set after collecting a total of seven service aces, two kills, three digs and a block.

The third frame was set-off by junior setter Andrew Panameno (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshman Libero Thomas Miller (Clifton, N.Y.). The two combined again after two bad sets by each team.  Miller tallied two kills on his two attempts for the night.

Senior David Smith (Clinton, OH) lead the Raiders attack with seven kills while sophomore Quinn Foglia (Remsenburg, N.Y.) collected five kills on five attempts hitting a 1.000 and burried two service aces.  The middle hitter showed some dominance on defense picking up three digs three blocks. Junior Ernesto Montes (Huntington Park, Calif.) collected three kills on three attempts hitting at 1.000. Ly closed out the match with six kills on eight attempts hitting at .750. 

Campos showed his experience and consistency as he walked away hitting a .333 after two kills on three attempts, while tallying 17 assists, two digs and a block.

After an undefeated weekend, the Raiders return to Nashua, N.H. to train for a full week before facing Medaille College (0-0) at Muldoon Gymnasium on January 25, at noon.
