Men's Volleyball: Raiders suffer loss to the Ducks, 3-1.

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Raiders suffer a 3-1 loss to #2 ranked Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology in the first match of 3 at the Keane University Invitational in Union N.J.  

While this was the first test for the Raiders, there were many positives to take away from this match. 

Junior Francis Kokoros (Braintree, Mass.) made a statement with 17 kills on 37 attempts hitting at .324.  In addition the outside hitter earned 1 ace, 5 digs, 2 solo blocks and 2 assisted.  Notching a team high 19 points. 

Junior David Smith (Clinton, Ohio) posted 8 kills and 5 digs and upperclassman Dashaun Graham (Highland Falls, N.Y.) dropped 7 kills on 13 attempts and 3 block assists. 

Senior Khaynen Yocca (Pittsburgh, Pa.) contributed 6 kills on 13 attemtps hitting at .462.  He tallied 3 aces, 2 digs and 3 assisted blocks. 

Junior setter Pedro Campos (Downey, Calif.) handed out 36 assists, 9 digs, 4 blocks and 2 kills. 

On the defense junior Cam Roth (Coventry, R.I.) denied the Ducks 11 scoring opportunities by ways of digs, in addition the outside hitter nailed down 6 kills.  

Grad student Kyle Heidler (Hampstead, N.H.) scooped up 10 digs and 3 assists.
