Men's Volleyball: Kokoros named GNAC Player of the Week!

(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference recently announced this afternoon that Rivier University junior Francis Kokoros (Braintree, Mass.) has been selected as the conference's Men's Volleyball Player of the Week. This is the first time in Kokoros' career that he has garnered conference accolades.

Kokoros led the Raider offense in the season opening weekend against three of the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-7 NCAA Division III teams. He averaged 3.08 kills, 1.15 digs and 0.77 blocks per set over the three games at the Kean University Invitational. The third-year opposite hitter scored 3.9 points per set against No. 2 Stevens, No. 7 Stevenson and No. 4 Kean, highlighting his week with 17 kills and a .324 hitting percentage in the four set loss to Stevens.

The Raiders will return to action on Wednesday night as they host Massachusetts Institute of Technology at 7pm inside the Muldoon Gymnasium.
