Men's Basketball: 2017-2018 Season closes at Lasell

(Newton, Mass.) The Rivier University Men's Basketball season came to an end this afternoon in heartbreaking fashion as the Raiders lost 71-69 at Lasell College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest. Rivier finishes the campaign with an overall record of 2-23 and a 1-15 mark in the conference. Lasell, meanwhile, finishes at 12-13, 10-6 in the GNAC and will host Regis College in the GNAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday night.

The Raiders were led by sophomore Trisitan Givens (Windsor, Conn.) who shot 6-for-12 from the floor and finished with a team-high 16 points. Freshman Tarik Rivers (Stamford, Conn.) added 13 points and a team-high six rebounds while both junior Joshua L'Heureux (Dracut, Mass.) and sophomore Kirk Palladino (Merrimack, N.H.) each totaled eight points.

Lasell senior Scott Arsenault led all scorers with 21 points as every one of the Laser starting five reached double-digits. HIs classmate Dannie Moore (Orlando, Fla.) pulled down 12 rebounds and 14 points for a double-double.

The future looks promising for this young Raider squad. The team will not lose anyone due to graduation as the Raiders did not have a senior on the roster.
