Aramis Velez will return to Rivier University for his ninth season as a baseball assistant coach in 2025.

Velez, a Riv alumni, was a four-year member of the baseball program. He captained the squad during his junior and senior seasons.

In his first year, Velez was named to the Great Northeast Athletic (GNAC) All-Conference Third Team. As a senior, he was honored on the GNAC All-Conference Second Team as a first baseman with a batting average of .371, earning nine doubles, four home runs, 43 hits, and 31 RBI.

Velez is the record holder at Rivier for most RBI with 75, as well as second for doubles with 27, and second for home runs with seven.

He attended Lowell High School and played baseball all four years, graduating in 2009.

Velez graduated with a criminal justice degree in 2013 from Rivier.
