Major: Criminal Justice

Romero was a four year varsity starter for both football and baseball while at Sacred Heart. He was a three time selection to the All-City team before graduating in 2008. He earned a scholarship to C.W. Post University, where he attended his freshman year before transferring to Edward Waters College for his sophomore year. Deciding that he wanted to be closer to home, Romero came to the Raiders program last year and shined on the diamond. He recorded a .274 average while starting in 26 games in 2011. His 20 hits were good for third on the team while he lead the team in runs scored with 16. He is the son of Luis Romero and Elsa Figueroa of Waterbury, CT and the brother to Roger Romero.
