Dave Hogan

Softball Coach

1987-2001

Dave became the first varsity softball coach in school history when the College added softball as a varsity sport in 1987. For fourteen years, he guided the team to a 129-94 record, the best in Rivier history. Dave was born to coach. He was a fixture with the Raiders, working with both softball and basketball players. He had coached at all levels - including middle school volleyball and high school basketball. As a coach, Dave always saw potential in every athlete that he mentored. He saw what they could be, and with boundless energy and ethusiasm, would focus on developing their talents. A Nashua native, Dave was instrumental in founding the Flames, a girls' AAU basketball program and the Nashua Nightmares, a local ASA softball program. He has dedicated countless hours to promoting girls' sports and teaching and motivation male and female athletes.
