WINTHROP, MASS. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced earlier today that Rivier University junior Samantha Molinari (Litchfield, N.H.) has been named the conference's Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Molinari dominated the field for a second consecutive week as she was named the Travis J. Fuller Invitational Women's Champion after crossing the line at 19:31.52. Her time was nearly 20 seconds faster than that of the second place finisher at the 15th annual event hosted by Massachusetts Maritime Academy. This is the second 1st place finish for Molinari as she also claimed 1st place honors last week at the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College.

This is the first time that a Women's Cross Country member has been selected as the GNAC Runner of the Week since Elizabeth Meehan '19 was honored on October 1, 2018.

Molinari and the rest of the Women's Cross Country team will return to the course on Saturday, October 5th when they travel to Keene, N.H. for the Keene State College Invitational. The race is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM.
