Women's Cross Country: Raiders finish 7th overall at Pop Crowell Invite

(Wenham, Mass.) Rivier University's Women's Cross Country team finished seventh at the annual Pop Crowell Invitational on the campus of Gordon College this morning.

The Raiders finished with 204 points. The University of New England won the meet with 30 points.

Senior Anna Pearsons (Kingston, Mass.) led Rivier in the 5k race with a 28th place finish in 21:33.3. Other finishers for the Raiders included junior Marin Owens in 38th overall (22:14.6), freshman Lauren Ferentino (Hudson, N.H.) in 83rd overall (26:50.6), freshman Amelia Bassett (Derry, N.H.) in 92nd (27:54.0) and senior Alyssa Brown (Manchester, N.H.) in 100th (29:35.9) out of a field of 125 runners.

Next up for the Women's Cross Country team will be the Travis J. Fuller Invitational, hosted by Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Friday, September 29th.
