Nicole Peacock named an ECAC Women's Volleyball All-Star

(Centerville, Mass.) The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2013 Division III New England Women's Volleyball All-Star Teams. Rivier University senior Nicole Peacock (Warwick, RI) capped her stellar four year career by being named to the ECAC All-Star 2nd Team. The voting was completed by coaches from the ECAC Division III New England Women's Volleyball membership.

Peacock becomes only the second Rivier Raider to be selected as an ECAC All-Star, joining Kenna Finlayson '13 who was selected to the ECAC 1st Team in 2012 and 2nd Team in 2011.

In her final season in a Raiders uniform, Peacock was able to launch herself into one of the All-Time Rivier greats as she recorded the second highest hitting percentage in Raider history at 33.2% and the ninth highest amount of kills in a season with 354. Peacock was also awarded with the Great Northeast Athletic Conference's Player of the Year, GNAC Tournament Most Valuable Player and a 1st Team All-GNAC selection in 2013. The Warwick, Rhode Island native was also selected by the New England Women's Volleyball Association as one of the top 33 seniors who participated in the NEWVA Senior Game back on December 8th.

For her career she is the All-Time leader in Total Blocks with 375, second in sets played with 464 and third in kills with 1,148
