Women's Soccer: Raiders can't match Regis in final GNAC contest of 2017

(Weston, Mass.) It was yet another tough night for the Rivier University Women's Soccer team as they fell to Regis College, 4-0 in the first Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest between the two schools. Rivier is now 1-11-1 on the year and finish the conference portion of their schedule at 0-10-1.

The game was a tale of two halves as the Raiders allowed all four goals within the first 35 minutes of the game.

Senior Lauren Goodspeed (Merrimack, N.H.) continues to shine bright for the Raiders as she made another nine saves on 13 shots in the contest. This is the four-year veteran's sixth game this season with nine or more saves.

The Raiders will close out the 2017 season next Wednesday evening as they host Plymouth State under the lights at Raider Field. It was also be senior night for Rivier as the team will honor the three seniors in Goodspeed, Emily Edwards (North Kingstown, R.I.) and Nicole Godschall (Hudson, N.H.) as they compete in their final soccer game of their respective careers.
