Women's Lacrosse: Raiders drop the AMCats, 20-5.

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Women's Lacrosse team earned their first win against Anna Maria College tonight, 20-5

Freshmen Ashley Rufo (Pittsfield, Mass.) and Bryce McDonald (Dracut, Mass.) were the only two AMCats to get on the board this evening.  Rufo scored all 3 goals in the first half, while McDonald earned the other two in the second half.  

Raiders Marin Owens (Brookline, N.H.) was hard to handle as she cashed in with 12 points on the evening by tallying 6 goals and 6 assists.  In addition the senior tallied 3 ground balls and took off with 9 of the Raiders 19 draw controls. 

Dzenana Omerovic (Revere, Mass.) tallied 5 goals out of 8 shots on goal.  Amanda Barton found the back of the net 3 times tonight and earned 2 assists 

The highlights of the night were Freshmen Amy Eacho (Kingston, N.H.), Josie Hastings (W. Lebanon, N.H.), Breana Abilheira-Cargill (Cumberland, R.I.) and sophomore Colleen Hastings (Hudson, N.H.) all earning the first goal of their careers 

The AMCats are slated to host Becker College (3-1 overall) this Saturday at 1PM in Paxton, Mass.  Tonight's victors will travel down to New Haven, Connecticut to face off against conference foes Albertus Magnus College (2-6 overall, GNAC 1-2) at 11AM on the same day.
