Women's Lacrosse: Raiders lose to Johnson and Wales on the road, 20-3.

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Raiders Women's Lacrosse program suffer conference loss to the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales, 20-3.

The Wildcats went on an 8-0 run in the first 15 minutes of the game. Wildcats senior Allison Pazienski (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) started the scoring less than one minute into the contest when she caught a pass from senior Juliana Giello (Warwick N.Y.) in the arc and found the back of the net. Giello netted the second goal of the game at the 1:40 mark. 

Just two minutes later, Pazienski took a pass from sophomore Dani Lydecker (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) and scored a goal for the 200th point of her career. She is just the third player in JWU history with 200 points.


The Wildcats went on to score five more goals before the Raiders got on the board in the first half of play.  Freshman Cailee Green (Henniker, N.H.) stopped the Wildcats' run at the 11:15 mark on a free position shot. 

The Raiders went on to score their second goal in the the second half when senior midfielder Ashley Leal (Tyngsboro, Mass) tallied a goal from a Marin Owens assist.  About 3 minutes later junior Steph Case (Nashua, N.H.) contributed one more goal off of Leal dish, to close the scoring out for the Raiders.  

Senior goalkeeper Courtney Leperriere snagged 11 saves while in Providence, R.I..  

Next up for the Raiders will be on the road, hosted by Becker College (2-0) in Leicester, Mass on Wednesday at 4:30PM.  The Wildcats will host conference foes Albertus Magnus (1-4) on Wednesday at 7:00PM.
