By: Anthony Perry, Rivier University Sports Information Director

(Nashua, N.H.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference unveiled their annual Women's Basketball All-Conference teams earlier this morning and Rivier University senior Kaylee Kacavas (Dracut, Mass.) capped off her terrific career with her first GNAC All-Conference First Team selection.

Kacavas is no stranger to the post-season awards as this is her second consecutive year being named as one of the top-15 student-athletes in the conference. Kacavas was tabbed to the Conference's Second team a season ago. She becomes just the third student-athlete to be selected to the All-Conference First Team joining Deanna Purcell '15 (four-time first team honoree) and Amandra Purcell '12 under the tutelage of ninth year Head Coach Paul Williams.

Kacavas had an outstanding senior season as she led the country in scoring with a 27.3 point per game average. She totaled 628 points in just 23 games played while shooting 46.4% from the floor. Her 198 made field goals ties her with Deanna Purcell in 2011-12 for the most made field goals in Women's Basketball history. Her 628 total points is the new single-season record as well and she drained 196 free throws in her final campaign.

For her career she finishes as the program's second highest individual scorer with 1,740 points scored (Deanna Purcell is #1 with 2,192) and averaged 19.6 points per game.
