(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Women's Basketball team used a 21-8 run in the second quarter as they earned a 75-66 victory over visiting University of Maine-Farmington this evening in a non-conference contest held inside the Muldoon Gymnasium. The win lifts the Raiders to 2-11 overall while the Beavers drop to 4-11.

Rivier jumped out to an early 35-25 lead at the break due to a 15-point, 7-rebound first half effort from senior Megan Hamel (Colebrook, N.H.). She was one of four Raiders to finish with double-double digit points as she totaled 22 on the night. Hamel also finished with her third consecutive double-double as she pulled down 10 rebounds. Also recording a double-double was junior Elizabeth Meehan (Nashua, N.H.) who had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Kaylee Kacavas (Dracut, Mass.) collected 11 points and junior Jackelyn Robarge (Belmont, N.H.) finished with 12 points on 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.

The Beavers were paced the offensive prowess of senior Haley Felkel (Cumberland, Maine) who shot 7-of-13 from the floor to finish with the team-high 16 points. Classmate Morgan Crocker (Boothbay, Maine) added 15 points and sophomore McKenna Brodeur (Oakland, Maine) finished one rebound shy of a double-double with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Freshman Chelsea Crockett (Newport, Maine) chipped in with eight points in a reserve effort for Maine-Farmington.
