Women's Basketball: Raiders grounded by Falcons, 101-60

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Women's Basketball team dropped a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest this evening, 101-60 to visiting Albertus Magnus College inside the Muldoon Gymnasium. The loss pushes the Raiders' record to 0-8 with a 0-4 conference mark while the Falcons up their record to 9-3, 3-1 GNAC.

Junior Kaylee Kacavas (Dracut, Mass.) netted a season high 33 points on 10-of-22 shooting from the floor while classmate Megan Hamel (Colebrook, N.H.) registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Emilee Kacavas (Dracut, Mass.) chipped in with nine points and junior Lizzy Meehan (Nashua, N.H.) collected four points and four rebounds.

Albertus Magnus received double-digit point efforts from three different student-athletes including a game-high 35 from senior Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.). Bolden was 15-of-23 from the floor while pulling down nine rebounds. Juniors Jill Johnson (North Haven, Conn.) and Kiki Epps (Norwalk, Conn.) tallied 19 and 8 points, respectively, with Epps netting a double-double collecting 12 rebounds. Junior Kristen Cunning (Hoboken, N.J.) chipped in with nine points off the bench.

Both teams will return to conference action on Saturday afternoon. Rivier will host Saint Joseph's College (Maine) in a 1pm tip-off. Albertus Magnus will also tip-off at 1pm with a road trip to Suffolk University.
