Three Raiders Named to Basketball All-State Teams

Nashua, NH – The NH NCAA Division III Basketball Coaches Association All-State Teams have been announced and three Raiders players have been awarded the honor. Six New Hampshire Division III schools, Colby-Sawyer College, New England College, Plymouth State University, Keene State College, Daniel Webster College and Rivier College, nominate their top performers for the honor and the six coaches then vote for a first and second team for both men and women athletes.

Nashua, NH - The Raivier College women's basketball team beat the Albertus Colege Falcons 79-71 today in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) basketball action. The win improves the Raiders to 5-17 overall and 3-6 in conference while the Falcons fall to 8-13, 2-8 in the GNAC.

WEST HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 5, 2011 -- Freshman Devon Diliberto (Waterbury, Conn.) scored 20 points and Saint Joseph College shot 50 percent from the floor as the Blue Jays defeated Rivier, 84-46 in a GNAC game Friday at the O'Connell Center.

Nashua, NH - The Rivier women's basketball team fought hard, but were no match for the Suffolk University Rams as the home team lost their fifth straight game by a score of 84-46. The Raiders could only muster 16 points in the first half, shooting just 20% from the floor.

Nashua, NH – The Lesley University Lynx shot just over 57% from the field and made 38 trips to the free throw line en route to a 75-69 win tonight against Rivier College. The Raiders got 66 attempts at the basket, compared to just 42 for the visiting Lynx, but were only able to hit 25 shots for a 38% night from the floor.

Nashua, NH – The Rivier College Raiders shot the lights out in the first half of today’s women’s basketball game against GNAC powerhouse Emmanuel College to take a 37-36 lead into the locker room at halftime, but a well oiled machine in Emmanuel came out and pressed the Raiders into making 12 second half turnovers and ended up with a 19 point victory, 86-67.

Nashua, NH - In what seemed to be an exact mirror recreation of the Rivier/Emerson men’s basketball game just 3 days ago (Which the Raiders won by 2 points after being down by 10 with two minutes left to play), the Rivier women found themselves up by 10 points with 2 minutes left in the game. Although, this time the Raiders were able to hang on down the stretch to secure their third straight victory and improve their GNAC record to 2-0.
