NASHUA, N.H. – As a part of our "Senior Saturday" series, we would to recognize the efforts of our Spring Seniors, who due to the COVID-19 pandemic never received an opportunity to be acknowledge in their final home games of their careers. Today we are honoring the 2020 Softball Senior Class.

2020 Softball Senior Class

These five Raiders have been instrumental in building the foundation of the softball program. Over their four seasons in Raider Blue, they have created a solid atmosphere and guided their teams to three straight double-digit win seasons. Here are our seniors:

Courtney Trahan (Brooklyn, Conn.) is joined at virtual home plate by her mother and father Jerilyn and Mark Trahan, and her sister Taylor Trahan. Courtney will be graduating Rivier University with a degree in nursing. Courtney is looking to be working in the Connecticut area as a registered nurse and hopefully on a medical surgical team. Courtney played Softball at Rivier mainly as a pitcher and utility infielder. Courtney appeared in 42 total games with 74 at bats, 19 hits 9 doubles and 1 triple. Courtney Appeared in 31 games as a pitcher 18 of them in a starting roll. Courtney totaled 100 innings giving up 161 hits, 108 runs, 27 walks, and 50 strikeouts. Courtney was a four year player here at Rivier and will be missed.

Taylor Rowsell (Chelmsford, Mass.) is joined at virtual home plate with her mother Lisa, father rick, and her brother Ricky. Taylor will be graduating from Rivier with a degree in secondary English education. Taylor currently works at primrose school of Chelmsford, and hopes to one day work in the Lowell education system with her mom as an English teacher. Taylor was a two-year captain and a four year starting pitcher for Rivier, she appeared in 99 games, she had 249 at bats with 78 hits, 21 doubles, 2 triples, and 7 homeruns. Taylor appeared in 52 games as a pitcher, with 29 starts. She had 190 innings pitched, 285 hits, 183 runs, 73 walks, and 111 strikeouts. Taylor will be missed here at Rivier.

Kendall Liggett (Litchfield, N.H.) is joined at virtual home plated with her mother Adrianne and her father Scott. Kendall will be graduating from Rivier with a major in early childhood education and a minor in the natural sciences. Currently Kendall is working as a full time substitute at sunset heights elementary school teaching 2nd grade, she hopes to one day a kinder care or 1st grade teacher. Kendall was injured her first year at Rivier and was not able to play but she was an incredible positive person to the whole team her freshman year. Kendall played in 36 games with 43 at bats, 8 hits, 2 doubles, and 1 triple. Kendall was a smart defensive second basemen and will be missed.

Kasey Smith (Hopkinton, N.H.) is joined at virtual home plate with her mom Kelly Raitt and dad Scott Windhurst, and brothers nick, Charles, Kevin, tucker, Nathan, and Travis. Kasey will be graduating from Rivier with a double major in psychology and sociology. Kasey will be working full time as a family intervention specialist and has also been accepted into doctorate of psychology program here at Rivier University next year. Kasey is a four-year starting center fielder for Rivier. Kasey played in 119 games, she had 363 at bats, scored 68 runs, had 123 hits with 5 doubles and 6 triples. Kasey also had 26 walks and 59 stolen bases. An incredible defensive outfielder Kasey had 154 put outs and a .922 defensive fielding percentage. Kasey will be missed by all.

Morgan Pratt (Pelham, N.H.) is joined at virtual home plate with her mom Gail Nickerson and dad Chris Pratt. Morgan who technically is a junior will be graduating early from Rivier with a degree in marketing. Morgan will be working this summer for the front door agency as a marketing and communications assistant. Morgan was a three-year starting first baseman for Rivier, playing in 67 games. Morgan had 154 at bats with 34 hits 2 doubles and 1 homerun. Morgan was an incredibly athletic and defensive first baseman with a .974 fielding percentage. 463 total chances and 442 putouts. Morgan will definitely be missed here at Rivier.
