Sophomore Julia Dailey (Dracut, Mass.) and freshmen Sara Mainville (Lowell, Mass.) and Nicole Capra (Lowell, Mass.) also recorded hits in the loss.

Game Two: Emmanuel College 10, Rivier University 2 (Final/5 innings)

The Saints offense proved to be too much in the nightcap as they scored eight runs in the first three inning on their way to a 10-2 mercy rule game two win.

Emmanuel was able to get to Rivier sophomore starter Kellie Kennedy (Hudson, Mass.) who allowed eight runs (seven earned) on seven hits in just 2.2 innings of work. Rowsell then settled things down a bit as she surrendered two runs (both earned) on five hits over the final 1.2 innings of the game.

Burgos finished the ballgame with a complete game (five-inning) effort allowing two runs (both earned) on four hits while striking out five.

The twelve hit offensive attack for Emmanuel was led by Avery Webb, who went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and Yuelska Ramirez-Tejada who knocked in two RBI on her 2-for-3 night. Burgos was also stellar at the dish as she went 2-for-2 with a RBI and Holsl also added two hits as the Saint remain undefeated in league play.

Rivier will return to the diamond on Wednesday afternoon as they host the University of Maine-Farmington in a non-conference double-header on the turf at Joanne Merrill Field. Emmanuel will travel to Wheaton College for a non-conference double-header on Tuesday afternoon.
