WHAT HAPPENED
The Colonels of Wilkes University edged the Raiders out with a run after the first inning. The first inning started off on a high note as sophomore Kellie Kennedy (Hudson, N.H.) struck out two batters and Colnels Jesse Smith grounded out to second base. The Raiders led off with senior Kasey Smith who hit a single. Freshman Nicole Capra (Lowell, Mass.) was thrown out at first on a sacrifice bunt that allowed Smith to advance to second. Mikayla Ramsdell smashed an RBI triple that sent Casey home.
After the first inning the Colonels earned a run in every inning until the 6th where the Raiders gave up 3 runs. The game finished in the same inning in favor of Wilkes University, 10-1.
