Men's Volleyball: Raiders pounce on the Leopards, 3-2.

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Raiders earned their 3rd conference win against the Jaguars of Wentworth Institute of Technology, 3-2.  The win lifts the Raiders to a 13-7 overall record and 4-0 in conference play.

The scores were 23-25, 25-14,17-25, 25-22, & 15-7.

The two east coast giants put on quite the show as three Raiders shared double digits in the kill category. Junior David Smith dropped an impressive 19 kills on 38 attempts hitting at .368. He also contributed 7 digs and 3 assisted blocks.

Senior Khaynen (Pittsburgh, Pa) tallied 13 kills on 22 attempts hitting at an efficient .455. He also came up with 7 digs.

Rookie Jack Normandin (Clifton Park, N.Y.) put down 10 kills and 3 aces.  He was also a defensive asset collecting 8 digs and a block.

Senior Dashaun Graham (Highland Falls, N.Y.) also chipped in with 7 kills, 3 digs and 2 block assists.

Without the likes of junior Pedro Campos (Downey, Calif.) and his incredible setting abilities 47 of the Raiders 53 assists would not have been recorded. 

The Raiders are slated to face the Wildcats of Johnson and Wales University tonight before heading back to Nashua, N.H.  After tonight's GNAC double header the Raiders will be challenged by another conference opponent. The Lasers of Lasell College will meet the Raiders at Emerson College (Boston, Mass.) for the first of 2 Conference matchups. The first serve will be launched at 1:00PM.
