Men's Volleyball: Raiders sweep match from Leopards.

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University men's volleyball team used a team effort Tuesday night to sweep a conference match from Wentworth Institute of Technology, 3-0, in the Muldoon Gymnasium.

The Raiders won by set scores of 25-18, 25-18 and 25-21.  The Raiders improves to 20-7 overall and 11-0 in the GNAC. 

Senior Khaynen Yocca (Pittsburgh, Pa.) led the way with 10 kills hitting at .471 and tallied 7 block assists. Senior Dashaun Graham (Highland Falls, N.Y.) posted 7 kills on 8 attempts hitting at .875.  Freshman Jack Normandin (Clifton Park, N.Y.) also contributed 7 kills on 12 attempts, posting a .500 clip. 

Junior David Smith (Clinton, Oh.) hammered down 6 kills tallied 2 digs and 2 block assists while Junior Francis Kokoros (Braintree, Mass.) chipped in with 3 kills 6 digs and 4 block assists.

Junior Cam Roth (Coventry, R.I.) led the backcourt contingent with 11 digs.

Junior Pedro Campos (Downey, Calif.) posted a .200 clip after nailing down 2 kills in 5 attempts and handing out 29 assists. Campos was last weeks GNAC Offensive Player of the Week after posting a total of 48 assists for the week and 886 on the season.  

The Raiders have earned themselves a bye in the first round of GNAC playoffs and will host the semi-finals at "the doon" on April, 11th. 

Next in line for the Raiders will be the Saints of Emmanuel College (18-11 overall, 7-4 GNAC) in another conference head-to-head in Boston, Mass. at 7PM. The Leopards will host the Pride of Regis College (10-13 overall, 3-9 GNAC) at 11AM on Saturday.
