(Nashua, N.H.)  The Raiders earn their second win of the 4 game series at the Cal-Lu-Fornia Invitational.  This win was a 4 set match against the Empires of St. John Fisher College (Rochester, N.Y.).  The SJFC joined the Invitational with an impressive 16-4 overall record as the Raiders came in at 9-6. While one sides record seemed to be a bit more intimidating than the other.  The Raiders were the side that just came off of one of their biggest wins in 5 years against No. 1 Springfield College.  It was this victory that put a target on the Raiders back before the start of this tournament.  However, the Raiders charged forward this morning beating the Adrian College 3-1, after losing the first set.  Then did the same thing against the Cardinals later in the day.  The Raiders dropped the first set by 8 points then turned it around the next three, 25-19, 25-22 and 25-20.

Rookies Sokunbuth Ly (Lowell, Mass) and Jack Normandin (Clifton Park, N.Y.) had a great showing tonight as they earned double digits on the attack with 10 and 11 respectively.  Meanwhile Raiders fans watched from the frigid east coast where the temperatures reflected their scores.  Between the two vertically-inclined-brothers they turned away 6 attempts with a collective 6 blocks and proved they could get low and collected 12 total digs.

Junior David Smith (Clinton, Ohio) had a great showing as he hit .333 with 13 kills. Senior Dashaun Graham (Highland Falls, N.Y.) was also proficient today tallying 7 kills on 15 attempts for .400.

Pedro Campos posted 41 unselfish assists and snuck in 2 kills hitting 1.00.

Up next for the Raiders will be the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz.
