Men's Volleyball: David Smith earn GNAC Offensive Player of the Week

(Nashua, N.H.) The Raiders faced a 1-2 week against tough competition. David Smith, outside hitter lit up the court offensively, averaging 3.83 kills per set on a .345 hitting percentage.

Smith's week started with a win against Regis College where he tallied a game high of 10 kills (.533) and 4 digs in a 3-0 win. In the first match of a weekend double header, he had 14 kills (.207), three digs and two blocks against No. 1 Springfield, a 3-1 loss. Smith also averaged 4.40 kills (.372) and 1.60 digs per set against Wells in a 3-2 loss. 

Smith is among the top 5 in the GNAC with 127 kills and is just shy of cracking top 5 in the kills per set category, at 2.65.  Just ahead of him is teammate Francis Kokoros (Braintree, Mass.) at .283.
