(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced earlier this afternoon that both Rivier University juniors Pedro Campos (Downey, Calif.) and Cam Roth (Coventry, R.I.) have been selected as the conference's offensive and defensive players of the week.

Campos was sensational in a perfect 3-0 week for the Raiders, as the junior setter directed the Rivier offense to a .343 hitting percentage while averaging 12.00 assists per set. He also chipped in with 2.50 digs and 0.70 blocks per set over his three game stretch. The offense hit a blistering .453 and Campos dished out 40 assists with seven digs in the team's 3-0 GNAC win over Emmanuel. He then followed that performance with a monster 44-assist, 11-dig, four-block showing in the four set win over Wells before capping off the week with 36 assists, seven digs and two blocks in a sweep of SUNY-Poly.

Roth averaged 2.00 digs, 0.60 blocks and 0.50 service aces over the three games in which the Raiders dropped one set. Offensively, the third year outside hitter averaged 3.20 kills per set on a .328 hitting percentage. He registered eight kills (.467), three aces and eight digs in the clean slate win over the Saints before notching 14 kills, six digs and three blocks in the 3-1 triumph over Wells. Roth then finished the week with a 10-kill, six-dig, two-block night against SUNY-Poly.

Campos and Roth are the latest members of the Men's Volleyball program to earn weekly honors from the conference. Junior Francis Kokoros (Braintree, Mass.) was selected as the GNAC Offensive Player of the Week back on January 28th. This is the first time in his career that Campos has been named a Player of the Week. For Roth, it is his third as he was also named GNAC Defensive Player of the Week on April 9, 2018 and GNAC Rookie of the Week back on January 23, 2017.

The Raiders (3-5 overall, 1-0 GNAC) will return to the court on Wednesday evening as they travel to Nichols College for a non-conference clash with the Bison. Game time is scheduled for 7pm.
