Men's Volleyball: Bucklin, Graham named GNAC Players of the Week

(Winchester, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced earlier this afternoon that both senior Garrett Bucklin (Jamestown, R.I.) and junior Dashaun Graham (Highland Falls, N.Y.) have been selected as the GNAC Men's Volleyball Players of the Week presented by Corvias.

Bucklin was chosen as the conference's Offensive Player of the Week after helping lead the Raiders to a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Johnson & Wales University Wildcat Invitational. Bucklin averaged an even 10 assists per set while also contributing with 1.55 digs, 0.91 blocks and 0.55 aces per set over the three games. He started the weekend off with a 33 assist, eight-dig performance in the clean 3-0 win over Baruch and wrapped up the invitational with 43 helpers, eight blocks, seven digs and five kills in the five-set win over Hunter.

Graham was honored with the GNAC Defensive Player of the Week as he had a stellar weekend along the net for Rivier. He registered 17 total blocks in just 11 sets played for a 1.55 blocks per set average in the three-win, two-day invitational. The junior middle blocker highlighted his week with a nine-block performance in the 3-2 win over Hunter and also posted a solid week offensively as he averaged 2.36 kills per set and a .391 hitting percentage.

For Bucklin, this is the first time in his career that he has been awarded the GNAC Offensive Player of the Week. Last season (2017) he was tabbed the conference's Defensive Player of the Week six-times. This was the first time that Graham was selected as a GNAC Player of the Week in his career.

Bucklin, Graham and the Raiders will welcome the defending NCAA Division III National Champions and the current #1 team in the country, Springfield College to the Muldoon Gymnasium on Wednesday night. Game time is set for 7pm.
