Baran-Maguire named GNAC Rookie of the Week

(Boston, MA) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced earlier today that Rivier University freshman Kevin Baran-Maguire has been selected as the Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

The Newport Beach, California native had a great week for Rivier averaging 2.67 kills/set and a .538 hitting percentage to help Rivier remain undefeated in GNAC play. The 6'8 first year player capped off his week with a team and match high eight kills in the 3-0 win over Emerson while also chipping in with two blocks in the outing.

The Raiders will return to action tomorrow night as they travel to Lasell College for a 7pm GNAC contest.
