(Nashua, NH) Rivier College tops tournament host Baruch after dropping a game earlier in the day to finish 1-1 on Saturday.
The Raiders (8-3 overall, 4-0 GNAC) won 3 out of 4 sets this afternoon only dropping the third game. Freshmen Chris Markuson (Cupertino, CA) exploded for team highs kills with 21 and overall points with 25.5. Behind him was sophomore Matt Bynon (Burnt Hills, NY) led the Raiders 10 digs.
The host Bearcats (6-4 overall) forced four sets from the Raiders after dropping two straight playing a strong 3rd 25-17. The Bearcats were led by their sophomore Jack McKee (Bay Shore, NY) who had 15 kills and had a kill percentage of .522. Freshmen Danny Olson (Franklin, Indiana) led the team with assists with 47.
The Raiders will continue their tournament tomorrow when they will take on Pfeiffer College at 10 am. The Bearcats will resume play tomorrow where they will take on Emmanuel College in the morning.
