Raiders finish the Baruch Tournament splitting the final day 1-1

(Nahua, NH) Rivier ends their tournament at Baruch on Sunday (2/26) splitting the day going 1-1 and finishing 2-2 overall.

In the first game of the day the Raiders (9-4 overall, 4-0 GNAC) lost to Pfieffer College (9-1 overall) in four sets. The Raiders won the first set and then dropped 3 straight to the Falcons. Senior Tajh Stokes (Salem, NH) led the Raiders in this one with 10 kills and 13 points overall. The Flacons were behind their sophomore Quintin Moore (Richmond, VA) who had 14 kills and 18 points overall.

The second game of the day the Raiders topped the Soaring Eagles of Elmira College (14-9 overall 4-2 UVC) 3 games to 1. The offensive attack was led by freshmen Chris Markuson (Cupertino, CA) and sophomore Aaron Almario (Alhambra, CA) who had 19 and 18 kills respectively.

The Raiders finish the tournament at .500 after two strong games and dropping two as well. They will be back in action Tuesday (2/28) where they will take on Emmanuel on the road.
