Men's Soccer: Hasenfus guides Raiders to 0-0 tie vs Fitchburg State

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Men's Soccer team battled visiting Fitchburg State University to a scoreless 0-0 tie this evening in non-conference action under the lights at Raider Field. The tie is the third in previous six games for the Raiders as they are now 0-12-3 on the season while the Falcons are now 5-7-1.

Rivier freshman goalkeeper Nicholas Hasenfus (Attleboro, Mass.) was the star of the game as he was able to record a clean sheet while making nine saves. On the other side of the field, Fitchburg State's Colby Mason stopped the only shot he faced on net for his own shutout.

The Raiders will return to Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon as they travel to Lasell College for a 3pm kickoff. Fitchburg State will host Westfield State University on Saturday afternoon for a 12pm MASCAC contest at Elliot Field.
