Men's Soccer: Raiders tripped up at Mount Ida

(Newton, Mass.) A late rush from the Rivier University Men's Soccer team netted a goal from freshman Price Moye (Lowell, Mass.) however they were not able to get the equalizer as they fell to Mount Ida College, 2-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Saturday night.

The goal was Moye's first of his career and came in the 62nd minute as he collected a loose ball inside the six and shot it into the back of the net.

Mount Ida received goals from junior Julio Barroso (Central Falls, R.I.) and freshman Ethan Sweet (Claremont, N.H.) as they improved to 7-3-0 on the season and 4-1 in the conference.

Sophomore keeper Colin Deyarmin (Raymond, N.H.) made six saves on the evening while his counterpart Riley Ford (Guilderland, N.Y.) stopped two of the three shots the Raiders were able to fire on net.

It will be a quick turnaround for the Raiders as they will host Lesley University tomorrow night in a non-conference contest at Raider Field. Mount Ida will host Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday night in their next scheduled contest.
