(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced earlier today that Rivier University senior Colby Larsen (Windham, N.H.) has been selected as the conference's Player of the Week for Men's Lacrosse. This is the second time this season that Larsen has gained the GNAC Player of the Week as was awarded the weekly honor back on March 11th as part of a Raider sweep of the honors (senior Matt Cloutman, Goalie of the Week & freshman Nick Ackerman, Rookie of the Week).

Larsen posted a 14-point week for the Men's Lacrosse team as the Raiders went undefeated in league play with wins over Anna Maria College and Johnson & Wales University. He totaled seven goals and seven assists beginning with a record setting outing against Anna Maria. Larsen also added four assists in the 11-9 win over the AMCATS as Rivier earned their first confernece win of the season.

In the second game of the week, Larsen continued his strong play in guiding the Raiders to a 14-11 road victory over the defending GNAC champions, Johnson & Wales. Larsen added five more goals to his historic total (now at 137) while dishing out three more helpers as the Raiders won their first game in Providence since JWU added Men's Lacrosse for the 2013 season.

Larsen was also named the GNAC Rookie of the Week twice his freshman season (2016) on both April 11 and April 18.

The Men's Lacrosse team will look to climb above the .500 mark tomorrow night as they travel up to Northfield, Vermont for a date with Norwich University.
