Men's Lacrosse: Dylan McSparren named GNAC Rookie of the Week, for the second time.

(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced for the second time this season, Rivier University freshman Dylan McSparren (Warwick, R.I.) has been named the Conference's Rookie of the Week for Men's Lacrosse, presented by Corvias.

McSparren posted seven points in a single contest on week 7.  The rookie netted 4 goals while handing out three assists in a 16-7 win Saturday over Johnson and Wales (RI).

The Rookie totals 19 goals and 15 assists after his conference match up against the Cadets of Norwich University this Wednesday.

McSparren was not the only one earning attention around the conference as both junior Matt Cloutman (Peabody, Mass.) and junior Sean Brady (Tewksbury, Mass) were added to the Weekly Honor Roll.

Cloutman posted a 6.50 GAA with 67% saves.  Every one of his 14 saves against Anna Maria were needed to get the 7-6 win.  Cloutman then held JWU to single digit goals by way of his 12 save effort to finish the game off at 16-7.

Brady was also integral in those two wins, contributing 8 points.  The junior midfielder had the game tying assist and the game winning goal against Anna Maria.  Against JWU he fired 5 shots into the net and handed out an assist in the Raiders 16-7 win.
