Men's Lacrosse: Fullerton scores hat-trick and leads team to conference victory, 11-5

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier University Men's Lacrosse team topped conference foe Emmanuel College, 11-5, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest at Raider Field. The Raiders improve to 4-6 overall and 3-1 in the GNAC with the win while the Saints fall to 1-8 overall, 1-3 GNAC.

It was the 6:12 mark when senior Adam Fritchy (Wolfeboro, NH) broke through with the first goal of his season.  This goal also fired up teammate sophomore Jack Nordin (Dunbarton, NH) to net his first goal of his season with just 5 seconds remaining in the first quarter.  The first quarter ended 2-0 in the Raiders favor.

Junior Rob Fullerton (Wilmington, Mass.) jumped on the scoring sheet minutes into the second quarter netting his first goal of the season off of senior Joe Kelland's (Watertown, Mass.) assist.  Rob wasn't done scoring as he managed to net two more goals with the help from junior Colby Larsen (Windham, NH) and junior Eric Guinasso (Pelham, NH)

The Saints scoring started with senior Charlie Moran (Maitland, FL) off a dish from junior Matt Katon (E. Falmouth, Mass) in a man up situation. In the same quarter junior Billy Barrs (Waterford, Conn) managed to net one on his own.  Barrs currently leads his team with 9 goals on the season.

It wouldn't be a good day if Colby Larsen and senior Liam Ryan (Dorchester, Mass.) didn't get on the board.  In this case it was a great day as the duo netted 2 goals and 1 assist apiece. Junior Sean Brady (Tewksbury, Mass) netted his 14th goal of the season and Eric Guinasso closed out the night with a goal of his own in the final minutes of the match.

Saints Goalkeeper Austin Rosenberg (Ronkonkoma, NY) tallied 18 saves and Rivier junior Matt Cloutman (Peabody, Mass.) made 16 saves on the night.

Both programs will be back in conference action on Wednesday evening. Rivier will travel to Anna Maria College for a 7:00PM match up.  Emmanuel College will host Mount Ida with a 7:00pm start time.
