Men's Lacrosse tops Norwich, 7-4

(Northfield, V.T.) The Rivier Men's Lacrosse team defeated the Norwich University Cadets by the score of 7-4 this afternoon on the road. With the win, the Raiders improve their season record to 11-3 (3-3 GNAC). As for the Cadets, they drop their season record to 5-6 (3-4 GNAC).
This was a very competitive game for the Raiders. In fact, the Raiders began the game on the wrong end of a 3-1 run. Norwich was able to cash in first when Ian Kennedy (Gloucester, Mass.) was able to beat Clark Plummer (Londonderry, N.H.) on a nice shot off of a great feed by Michael Cashman (East Kingston, N.H.). Cody Lynch (Salem, N.H.) was able to score a great goal at the 2:35 mark of the first quarter which was assisted by Kyle Graham (Londonderry, N.H.)
To begin the second quarter, the Cadets were able to record the first two goals and take the 3-1 lead. C.J. Dolan (East Sandwich, Mass.) and Seth Fuller (Wheaton, Ill.) were able to notch a goal each at the 14:31 mark, and again at the 8:39 mark. Fortunately for the Raiders, Tyler Tambouris (Hooksett, N.H.) was able to step up for Rivier and put home an unassisted goal at the 7:40 mark to cut the Norwich lead to 3-2. Just when the Raiders looked to be gaining some ground, Seth Fuller (Wheaton, Ill.) was able to strike again for the Cadets off of another assist from Michael Cashman (East Kingston, N.H.). With less than a minute remaining, Tyler Tambouris (Hooksett, N.H.) was able to rip one past Ryan Fecteau (Danvers, Mass.).
Tyler Tambouris (Hooksett, N.H.) was able to step up for the Raiders as he was able to score the only goal in the third quarter for both teams beating Ryan Fecteau (Danvers, Mass.) for the third time, and tying the game at 4-4. Rivier would end up putting in the remaining 3 goals on the game to seal the victory 7-4. Max Tucci (Newton, Mass.) scored two goals with William Ryan (Dorchester, Mass.) assisting on both goals. John Cangiamila (Woburn, Mass.) scored his 3rd goal of the season at the 8:29 mark.
For their next contest, the Rivier Men's Lacrosse team will be on the road to take on the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats on April 15th at 7:00pm. As for the Cadets, they will next play on the road at Wentworth on April 16th at 7:00pm.
