Rivier Sweeps GNAC Conference Weekly Men's Lacrosse Awards

(Boston, MA) Three Rivier University Men's Lacrosse players - Kyle Graham, Clark Plummer, and Sean Given - have been recognized by the GNAC Conference for their exploits on the field in last week's games.  In an interesting side note, all three players hail from Londonderry, NH.  The Raiders were recognized with the following awards in their sweep of the weekly GNAC accolades:
 
Player of the Week
Kyle Graham (Londonderry, N.H.), Sophomore, Midfielder, Rivier University
Graham netted four goals and handed out four assists from his midfield position in two non-conference games this week which saw the Rivier University Raiders go 1-1. The sophomore midfielders three goal and two assist performance on Saturday against Nichols showed true grit and included two assists in the final 5:26 of the fourth quarter which helped the Raiders claw back from an 8-12 deficit to tie the game at 12 and force overtime.
 
Goalie of the Week
Clark Plummer (Londonderry, N.H.), Sophomore, Goalie, Rivier University  
Plummer accumulated 43 saves in a 1-1 week for the Rivier University Raiders while maintaining a save percentage of 71.7% and holding his goals against average down in single digits to 8.49% for the week. The sophomore goalie recorded four key fourth quarter saves against non-conference Emerson College, doing his part to lock down the one goal victory in a 5-4 win. Plummer baffled Nichols College shooters with an amazing 32 save afternoon on Saturday in another non-conference contest, unfortunately the Raiders came up short in the OT loss. 
 
Rookie of the Week
Sean Given (Londonderry, N.H.), Freshman, Attack, Rivier University 
Given pumped in six goals and dished out a pair of assists in two non-conference contest over the week. The rookie had two goals against Emerson College, which came in the fourth quarter of the Raiders 5-4 victory. Given's fourth quarter performance at Nichols College was sublime. The Londonderry, New Hampshire native scored two goals and assisted the other two goals in Rivier's 4 goal comeback in the last 5:26 to force overtime. Given totaled six points on the day against Nichols with four goals and two assists.
