Men's Basketball: Raiders stumble on the road at New England College

HENNIKER, N.H. – Three Raiders reached double-figures this afternoon however it was not enough as the Rivier University Men's Basketball team suffered a 101-71 loss this evening to New England College in a non-conference contest. Rivier enters the Thanksgiving break with a 2-5 overall record while the Pilgrims up their record to 2-3.

Senior Issaiah Chappell (Sunapee, N.H.) was the leading scorer for the Raiders as he shot 7-of-21 from the floor on his way to 21 points. Junior Tyler Bradanese (Billerica, Mass.) was 7-for-10 from the floor as he finished with 15 points and classmate Jack McCarthy (Rowley, Mass.) added 13 points, including going a perfect 5-for-5 from the field. Freshman Chance Eason-Jones (Manchester, Conn.) pulled down seven rebounds to lead the team in the loss.

The Pilgrims saw Izaiah Winston-Brooks reach the game-high with 23 points and Larry McKinney added 20 points off the bench in the win. Also reaching double-digits was Jamal Allen and Tyler Dill, who finished with 10 and 11 points, respectively.

Rivier will return to the floor next Tuesday night as they return to northern New Hampshire for a non-conference contest at Colby-Sawyer College. Game time is set for 7pm.
