Men's Basketball: Raiders fall at Norwich

(Northfield, Vt.) The Rivier University Men's Basketball team fell on the road this evening, 84-51 at Norwich University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The Raiders are now just 2-19 on the season with a 1-11 record against conference competition while the Cadets improve to 9-10, 6-4 GNAC.

Freshman Glen Jones (Long Island, N.Y.) led the way offensively as he finished with 12 points off the bench with sophomore Tristian Givens (Windsor, Conn.) adding 11 points and seven rebounds. Freshman Tyler Bradanese (Billerica, Mass.) had a solid night with eight point and eight rebounds while knocking down 3-of-5 attempts from the field.

Norwich was paced by the senior duo of Ryan Booth (Northfield, Vt.) and Mike Hogervorst (Leiden, South Holland) who each finished with 16 points. Senior Zygimantas Sirvydas (Silale, Lithuania) chipped in with 13 points and senior Joe Bertrand (Saugus, Mass.) added 12 points in a reserve effort. Senior Tommy Fitzgerald (Williston, Vt.) pulled down a game-high nine rebounds for the Cadets.

Rivier will remain on the road for their next contest this Saturday afternoon at Johnson and Wales University.
