(Nashua, NH) Three different Falcons recorded double-digit points as Albertus Magnus defeated Rivier, 93-58 at the Muldoon Gymnasium in Nashua, NH.
The Raiders kept the game close up until about 9 minutes left when the Falcons went on 23-9 run to close out the half.
For the Raiders, sophomore Tom Poitras (Bow, NH) was the leading scorer with 14 points. Classmate Jake Nelson (Nashua, NH) also hit double figures as he contributed with 10 points.
Senior Ray Askew (Hamden, CT) recorded 16 points in win but more importantly became the Great Northeast Athletic Conference's All-Time leading rebounder and also the second student-athlete to obtain 1,000 career rebounds. Joining Askew in reaching the double-digit plateau, were freshman Spencer Smith (New Haven, CT), 11 points and junior Arshad Jackson (Hartford, CT) who registered a game high 25 points.
Rivier (2-9 overall, 0-3 GNAC) will battle Saint Joseph's College of Maine in their next contest on Thursday night here inside the Muldoon Gymnasium. Albertus Magnus (10-1, 5-0) will host Emerson College.
