WINTHROP, MASS. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced earlier today that Rivier University freshman Hunter Langley (Londonderry, N.H.) has been named the conference's Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.

Langley enjoyed a stellar week for the Raiders as she helped the team go 2-1 over the three game week. Langley notched three goals and an assist for seven points as Rivier defeated both Dean College and Albertus Magnus College. In the team's 7-0 win over future GNAC opponent Dean, Langley delivered two goals on three shots before adding a goal and an assist in the 6-0 conference win over Albertus Magnus.

This is the second consecutive week that the Rivier Field Hockey team has garnered GNAC Weekly honors. Last week both sophomore Katie Olsen (Saugus, Mass.) and freshman Carissa Letendre (Whitinsville, Mass.) were tabbed the GNAC Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week.

Langley and the rest of the Raider Field Hockey team will return to action on Thursday afternoon when they travel to Framingham State University for a 3:45pm non-conference contest.
