Bio

Mike Henzley enters his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Rivier University baseball program in 2024.

Henzley brings a host of coaching experience to the program after previously serving 14 years as a longtime assistant at his alma mater, Daniel Webster College.  During his tenure with the Eagles, Henzley worked to build a program that earned three New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) championships, along with an invitation to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament, as well as two appearances in the NCAA Regional Tournament.  Over that span the Eagles saw 35 players named to all-conference teams, four conference players of the year selections, two players named to the New England Intercollgiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-New Englad team, and one player named to the Division III All-New England team.

Henzley played for the Eagles back to the late 1980's when he was a two-year letter winner as the Eagles third baseman. He graduated in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in Aviation Management.  He also obtained his master's of Business Management (M.B.A.) from Webster University in St. Louis.

After graduation Henzley served in the United States Air Force from 1989-1998 and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. Since separating from the Air Force in 1998 he moved back to Merrimack, where he currently resides with his wife, Sue, and has been heavily involved with youth and amateur baseball in southern New Hampshire.
